If I have money, I’d buy an entirely new wardrobe every single season, but unfortunately, I’m not and I believe you guys aren’t either. How to wear a dress in the summer-to-fall transition? Challenge accepted, here comes my solution.

Denim Jacket

I just can’t get enough of denim, it gives you enough warmth for dressing in an in-between weather. The beauty of denim jacket is that no matter it comes in what form: oversize, regular, cropped, it just goes with everything. If you are worried about being too feminine in the dot dress, then oversize denim would definitely bring the edgy you back. Besides the washed blue color that I am wearing, it’s black-hued cousin is also a can’t miss.
Shirt

I know it’s there, in my closet, sitting with other graphic Tees and never imagined they could be paired with a dress. They are my collections of basic button-down shirts. A little trick here is to tie the shirt, just a casual bow, can instantly add excitement and highlight the waistline. I sported a rust red satin shirt for this dress, and rust red as I always believe is the color of fall.
Sweater

Knitwear itself can be a little bore during the cold weather. Style it with a dress in the fall can definitely spice the whole look up. When choosing the knit to match the dress, be sure to pick the ones with a slightly cropped cut to elevate the waistline. Boat neck sweater is also worth trying since it gives the sweater dressing a sexy spin, revealing a sliver of skin along the collarbone.
Blazer

Similar to Denim, the blazer is becoming the new go-to item for any occasion. Additionally, plaids dominate closets this season in various silhouettes. To match with the dot dress, I chose a brownish plaid pattern that smoothly blends in the atmosphere created by the dot dress, elegant and chic. The secret here to mix dots and plaids is never using too many colors to complicate the patterns.
Trench Coat

Longer trench coat and dress are perfect fall combo. The length of the trench coat is enough to keep you warm during some breezy nights. Since the coat comes with no belt, I paired it with heeled boots for a more defined shape. For those of you are tired of the classic color camel, lighter shades like pastel blue are not too demure and still on trend.
